HEPD WOLF PACK HOCKEY ANNOUNCES
SUPER SUMO 5 SKILL & OVERSPEED TRAINING SESSIONS

This challenging in-season, multi-station, 5 skill focus, combines testing, small game challenge program (plus the power of video training) will give passionate players the best foundation of skill development available anywhere during the regular season. We feel this focus will give a better foundation for the future than what can be accomplished playing at a higher level only without the professional focus on skill details. It is believed that NHL players lose up to 20% of their skating efficiencies during the course of the season simply because they do not get the chance to intricately work on the key components. This program is designed to better prepare hard driving players with the technical tools to being impact contributors at the right time down the road. The best part is that it is all included in the registration cost. The super bonus... it is also going to be a lot of fun for the players that are reaching for the stars!

It is a challenge for coaches to stay on a methodical path of development that caters to each players needs when there is the pressure to develop team play and win. This format will ensure our players receive the essential skill training in all areas and at the same time will enable our coaches to work on teaching the team game and related systems both off and on the ice.

As per the new Wolf Pack Newsletter ,there is no longer process of mastering all the skills in any sport as there is with ice hockey. We often unfairly deny our players the chance to reach their true potential by rushing them through 5 skill development into competing for trophies and banners. As fun as it can be at the time, it too often is the long term demise and premature ending of a career of what could have been a person that loves playing the game for life. I spend more time trying to help late youth and early teen players trying to correct frustratingly engrained bad habits that simply prevent them from reaching their true potential, and thus joy of the game. The player is just the victim of our overzealous desire to play and watch games. Our training sessions will include all sorts of challenges and small area games that will be much more productive than what is generally gained out of too many games.

Finally, this enhanced skill program is for every passionate player in our program. No matter what your current skill or experience level, our sectional groupings will enable you to enjoy your progress. However, this program is not for everyone. If you are not determined to do what it takes to be your best this will be too demanding for you. Players that do not suit the focus and demand level will be recommended not to participate until they are ready to come to the rink with the burning desire to be better.

If room exists, this great training opportunity will be made available to our CYA players and others.
